LBB were delighted to support the work of The Batley Grammar School 'Old Batelian's Association' by playing for them to help raise funds for Save the Children and The Yorkshire Air Ambulance Charities. This was a particularly nostalgic return for tenor saxophonist Paul Jackson, an ex-student at the school. Once again an enthusiastic crowd played their part in a highly enjoyable evening.
The Little Big Band came swingin' back from their summer break and were happy to help out the NHS with a charity fundraising event set in the spectacular surrounding of the Metropole Hotel, Leeds. Several hundred guests were entertained in this beautiful ballroom with its interesting domed ceiling creating an excellent acoustic blend.

The Little Big Band play the Hebden Bridge Trades Club on Friday June 6th to celebrate the 50th birthday of band member Paul. This is a private party with limited numbers due to the size of the venue, any band members with friends to bring just let Paul know in advance... and any die-hard LBBeebers who wish to attend should contact Paul via our Facebook page and he'll do his best to get you in. The Trades is a great venue and this should be a good'un!

Hi folks... thanks for coming!!! The Little Big Band had a great night and we raised just shy of £2400 for our charities! The Evening Courier are running an article on the event in a few weeks and this could really help us generate more interest in the charities. I could really use the help of anyone who took any photos on the night that we could use to accompany the article... so if you have even a phone snap of the evening could you please email it to me, or post it on this site...
Thanks for the brilliant turnout on the night and the great way you all joined in for our celebration of Jake , and donated so much for the charities that made a difference to his and his family's lives. Paul.
